Planning to RV it for Thanksgiving this year? You don’t have to miss out on the fun and food! Even with a small kitchen you can still enjoy the great tastes of Thanksgiving! Check out our three tips for an RV Thanksgiving.
The Turkey
– consider a turkey tenderloin, especially if it’s just for 2. You can easily cook this on a grill or in your RV oven if you have one. Neither of those is an option? Slice it and cook it right on your stovetop! It’ll be delicious and you’ll have so much less clean up than you would with a full turkey!
The Side Dishes
– Cranberry sauce is easy! You can jazz up canned whole-berry sauce with orange zest and pecans or whip up a homemade batch of apple-cranberry chutney on the stove: Just boil 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar with 1 bag of whole cranberries and 1 chopped up apple. Let this all cook down, stirring frequently, until it begins to thicken. Then stick it in the fridge overnight and it’ll be perfect for Thanksgiving!
– Mashed potatoes & Gravy – easy peasy on your stovetop!
– Stuffing? This is one area where you may have to get a little creative, but you can always turn to the Dutch Oven and the campsite grill for this one! Check out this great recipe for Thanksgiving Dutch Oven Stuffing.
